Trauma from our childhood, adolescence and adulthood can impact our daily functioning and our general outlook in life. Past trauma has a way of rearing up when life becomes difficult. Those who have experienced trauma may struggle to regulate their emotions, may engage in critical, negative self-talk, have unsatisfying relationships and struggle with addictive behaviors.
I will work with you to make sense of your trauma. Utilizing mindfulness techniques, I will assist you in developing healing self-compassion. I will also help you to make sense of what has happened without minimizing your experience. It can be helpful to become aware of what triggers your individual trauma and how to cope in such situations.
In addition to creating a safe therapeutic relationship with client’s who have suffered from trauma, I will work with you to help you understand the impact the situation has on you and how to create a healthy, fulfilling life.
